David Hood (Hoodie)

I am one of the trainers at CrossFit Ignite Sydney and help look after the clients programs and update the Workout of Day on the blog. I have a Bachelor of Applied Science Degree in Sport & Exercise Science as well as my certificate in CrossFit Level 1 and CrossFit gymnastics. I cast a keen eye over everyone’s technique and try to find areas where they can improve, although I do love to get in ear of someone doing an intense met-con! I have been a trainer at Ignite for over 3 years and have developed the ability to instruct some of the more difficult movements of CrossFit as well as always encouraging the clients to do their best and work on their weaknesses.

I think I am fairly well rounded in my training from strength lifts such as deadlifts and squats, to gymnastic movements like muscle ups and handstands and have been improving my Olympic lifting with snatch and clean and jerk. I love most sport, particularly rugby league and cricket and outside of work you can usually find me hanging out with friends, eating, getting in a quick sleep or chilling out.
