About Marek

I believe that I haven´t reached my full CrossFit potential and have plenty of room for improvement, as an athlete and as a coach. Becoming a part of Ignite brings me a step closer to fulfilling my dreams and I’ll do my best to help all of you to reach yours.

I’m always looking into how to get better of myself, and how to achieve everything I want. Every book, every article I read, every person I spoke to, they all have one thing in common, and that’s you can achieve anything if you don’t limit yourself.

Recently, I experienced how true this is. I had a chance at ticking off one of my goals. But when it came to that moment, everything fell apart. Looking back, I realised what got in my way was myself because I was uncertain and a little scared of the next step.

This got me thinking about you guys, the people that I train day in and day out.

I want you to pause and think for a second about the things that might be holding you back.

Here are my thoughts…

Scared of the Unknown
Fear of the unknown is one of the most impactful motivators and perhaps the single greatest deterrent in any person’s life. Fear is what stops us from taking a leap of faith and going with what feels right and what we truly want to do.

To truly thrive, we need to do our best to stop worrying about the ‘what ifs’ and remember that not knowing what will come tomorrow is what stops us from taking matters into our own hands and changing our lives here and now.

I Can’t / Couldn’t Ever Do That (I’m Not Good Enough)
Just because we have never achieved it doesn’t mean it’s not possible. I sometime hear clients say, ‘I can’t do that’ and it’s only because they have never done it before that they think they can’t – I know that they can and I encourage them to have a go. It’s important that we listen to our words and change from can’t to can, even if we are unsure. Our words create our reality.

Instant Gratification Society
Being patient is important when chasing down dreams and achieving goals, because nothing usually comes as quickly as we would have hoped or even planned. So dedication, determination, and perseverance are crucial.

Some good read on your approach to training from Dan here.
But we need to be careful that our patient doesn’t become hesitation or reluctance, hampering us from springing into immediate action. Sometimes we need to jump without looking and to act on instinct without considering every possible implication of our actions to get results.

Cruisers? Happy Where I’m At
I believe that if you are not moving forward, then you have to be moving backwards. Don’t get me wrong as there is nothing wrong with being happy with what you have and just maintaining it; but to continue to stay fresh in your pursuits, it’s best to have goals or a focus to strive towards. This how Darren keeps moving forward.

If you are not sure what is it exactly that limit you, or don’t know how to overcome it, don’t be afraid to come up and have chat.
