CrossFit Ignite is a gym, but a gym like no other. It has a super friendly team always on hand eager to show you the most effective ways to exercise and eat to get you fit, toned and ultimately happier and healthier.
Our focus is personalisation and service and we plan to keep it that way. We don’t have salespeople, only trainers so no hard sell and our welcoming environment has always been what has stood us apart from the rest of our industry.
We have been around since August 2002 and have been using CrossFit principles since late 2007. We practice what we teach and love what we do. We’re not super-human, but we know that to look, feel and perform at our best we need to eat well most of the time and practice CrossFit regularly.
I’m a motivated individual who likes to see progression in anyone. I have participated in many activities such as dance, track and field, gymnastics and most recent to date Olympic Weightlifting. I’d consider Olympic lifts my bread and butter in coaching terms. Also in workouts where I definitely much prefer a heavy snatch or clean and jerk than a terribly enjoyable met-con.
I am lucky enough to do everyday what I love. Working with motivated passionate coaches and clients who share my vision for a healthy, fit and grateful modern world.
Staying abreast of best practices, implementing what I learn in my own life so that I can then teach those around me is what gets me up early on cold dark Winters mornings.
I’d be keen to assist you when you are ready.
Trainer + Mean Programmer
I’m one of our resident Exercise Physiologists, and also an accredited Strength and Conditioning Coach, Personal Trainer and Level 1 Weightlifting Instructor. Outside of the gym, I tend to go in search of good food and great coffee. And yes, Dan’s Shoulder Stretch is mine.
Coach + Boss
I love working with the team that we have at Ignite. There is a strong work ethic, but we know how to have fun together too. Working and training with people who are passionate about the same things as me is priceless. I’ve been lucky enough to have competed in the CrossFit Games at ‘The Ranch’ in 2009.
Coach + Glamour Boy
I believe that I haven´t reached my full CrossFit potential and have plenty of room for improvement, as an athlete and as a coach. Becoming a part of Ignite brings me a step closer to fulfilling my dreams and I’ll do my best to help all of you to reach yours.

Coach + All Round Nice Guy
It’s a satisfying feeling to be part of a team that has such a positive impact on people’s lives. I graduated from Health and Sports Science in 2004 as an Exercise Physiologist. It’s my job at Ignite to do whatever I can to ensure our clients are using Ignite and getting the great results that everyone wants.
Coach + Junior Fitness Nerd
I’ve always had a passion for health and fitness (I’m currently studying nutritional medicine.) However, it wasn’t until I started training at Ignite that I fell in love with CrossFit and the awesome community that came with it.
CrossFit has helped me reassess what fitness means to me and shifted my focus to performance. The human body continually amazes me with what it is capable of and that fascination is what led me to become a trainer; to help others find their own strength and confidence!
I’d love to make it to Regionals one day but even if I don’t, I’ll have enjoyed every step of the chase.
If I’m not working I’m usually here training so if you see me on the floor please say hi! I don’t bite that much. 😀
Coach + Vertical Adventurer
When I’m not in the gym, I’m usually scaring myself in rock climbing, ice climbing and high altitude mountaineering. I revel on pushing myself physically and mentally to achieve my goals.
Training has been a huge part of my life and I get the same level of joy in training others and being part of their journey in achieving their goal, which is why I became a personal trainer. With CrossFit you get to enjoy the challenge that it provides and flexibility to shape the programs to suit your goals. As a personal trainer there’s nothing better than seeing clients give it 100% effort!
Outside of training, I have itchy feet for travelling and I love food! I have lived overseas for the past decade in London, Central America and Nepal, and returned to Sydney about 2 years ago.
